12th Doctor is Revealed!

Great news! BBC has announced that the 12th Doctor is.... Peter Capaldi! Here's a little back round on our new Doctor.

Peter Dougan Capaldi is a Scottish actor and director. He is best known for his role as Malcolm Tucker in the comedy show, The Thick of It. He is also well known for his roles in popular films/shows such as Fallen Angel, Torchwood (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torchwood) : Children of the Earth, the role of Caecilius in Doctor Who, S4:Ep2 "The Fires of Pompeii", Bean, The Penguins of Madagascar, World War Z, and upcoming show airing in 2014, The Three Musketeers. Peter has received 5 awards from 1995-2012, including the British Comedy Award for Best Actor, and the  Chlotrudis Award for Best Supporting Actor. Peter is 55 years old, married to Elaine Collins, and has no children.

News On Regeneration

It has become official, Matt Smith has signed on, and will not regenerate after the Christmas Special! Our 11th Doctor will stay!

Follow Up Episode to "The Name Of The Doctor" Release Date

Okay, I'M GOING TO DIE. The episode to follow up The Name Of The Doctor doesn't air until NOVEMBER 23, 2013. And then, about a month after that, HE REGENERATES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND. Doctor #11 is my second favorite Doctor, you can't just go watch him regenerate! (FYI, my favorite Doctor is, and should always be, Doctor #10) So ye, me an my fellow Whoviens will just have to suffer through half a year. I won't be posting much, since there won't be much to post about. I promise I'll get back when I can. LOVE YA.

The Doctor's Time Stream

So Mr. Simeon goes into the Doctor's time stream in order to kill him and rewrite his history. (Mr. Simeon is a very old enemy of the Doctor's.) So, as the Doctor is collapsing before his friends, Clara has a realization that she was born to save the Doctor from his death. (Mr. Simeon.) So, Clara enters his time stream to discover the Mr. Simeon has burnt up and she can fix the Doctor's time stream. Had she not been in a link with River Song, the Doctor wouldn't have been able to officially say goodbye and (HUGE spoiler alert) KISS his wife. After River's image disappears, the Doctor goes in to save Clara. After all, she has been saving him for all these years, isn't it his turn to save her? Just before he leaves his time stream with Clara, she sees a man, who is the Doctor, who she has never seen before. This one person is the Doctor that told his name, therefore, the man is the Doctor's real name.

Doctor Who Season Finale: The Name Of The Doctor

So, this is my first post, lets see how it turns out. I watched the season finale of Doctor Who tonight with some fellow Whoviens, and may i say, it was a smashing hit of a cliff hanger that makes me hate season finales. I finally understand the significance of "Souffle Girl", a.k.a Clara Oswald, The Impossible Girl. She was there from the very beginning! Also, River Song, the Doctor's wife, makes an interesting statement about not leaving if we haven't said goodbye. Professor Song helps Clara along throughout the finale, up to the point were Clara enters the Doctor's time stream. Oh! Lets clear that up a bit! Read the next post. :)
